We are excited to share with you some of the exciting things that will be happening at ZLO in October and November!
C.C. Beanie Hat Fundraiser
Coordinators: Mrs. Deanna Kangas and Mrs. Bethany Pellerin
Our first fundraiser of the year will be kicking off very shortly, and we are pretty jazzed up about it! Just in time for the cooler weather, we will be selling high quality knit beanies from Crane & Co. (C.C. beanie caps). These are sold in retail stores for anywhere from $20-30 each, and we are able to offer them at deep discount. Classic styles will be $12 each, or two for $20, while the new designs will be $15 each, or two for $25. We will send out a special email with pictures and details in the next week. We’ve ordered 50 hats to start, and will be prepared to put in another order as we expect to sell out quickly. VIEW PDF PREVIEW AND ORDER FORM

Do you have a budding entrepreneur at your house? Our ZLO kids are super talented so we’d like to showcase those skills. Join us on October 19, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, at The Church at Bakerview Square. Anyone is welcome to display anything they do to either exhibit an interest (collecting, for example), sell their crafts (bookmarks, jewelry, artwork), play music or demonstrate a skill (dog training). In addition, we’d like to have our own Lego contest! Students may use something already used elsewhere or create something new. Judges will award a prize for the best Lego construction.
Bring your family to this special day featuring the talents of our kids! Siblings are also welcome to share their talents. Light snacks & coffee provided.
Thanksgiving Collection & Potluck
Once again, we look forward to enjoying a potluck lunch the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. As we approach both Thanksgiving and Christmas, we will be collecting items for a local non-profit. We will also have a “Thankful Tree” on display where students and their families, teachers, and the Laurel Church community will be encouraged to share what they are thankful for during this season. More details to come!
