We have had a lot of fun in science these past few weeks! In Middle School Science, we have been learning about the scientific method and how to properly complete a science experiment. For our first experiment, we investigated if the type or temperature of liquid affected how many drops will fit on a penny. Students learned about water tension, crystallization/evaporation, and carbonation! For our second experiment, we made paper airplanes and tested if the size of a paper airplane affects how far it flies!

In High School Biology, we started out by studying what it means for something to be alive. We conducted an experiment where we investigated if yeast was alive as well as made posters about the 7 characteristics of life for various organisms. Recently, we have begun learning about the different organelles in a cell and have started working on our “Cell Analogy” project!
