MVisTeaching: it’s a personal calling I recognized early in my childhood. Growing up in a homeschool family, I nurtured the teacher within teaching my siblings first grade material, second grade American history and Government, and high school Spanish. After completing my Associates Degree at Whatcom Community College, I pursued a History/Elementary Education major at Western Washington University and graduated in early 2012. Through college, church, and work, I have had several formal instruction opportunities. I taught economics with Junior Achievement, Bible lessons at my church’s Good News Club, and completed many practicums through WWU’s education program. During my one year student teaching experience, I worked with fourth graders at Geneva Elementary School teaching all the core content areas. After graduating, I began substitute teaching for the Bellingham School District and a local private school. Fall 2012, I began teaching at Zacchaeus Learning Opportunities.

Working with students at ZLO during the 2012-2013 school year proved a delight. I am thrilled to offer courses once more!

Visuals say it all! Take a look at some of the learning my students and I have enjoyed.
